Dalibor Davidovic is a Serbian artist residing and working in the United States. For Dalibor, the creation of art begins with awareness. Snapshots of time, people and places become actors in the stage of his imagination, which interprets the unraveling scenes, evoking intimate feelings as they collide and collude to create stories that are experientially unique. 

 

Mr. Davidovic frequently combines images, skillfully manipulating colors and textures, shapes and dimensions of varying and seemingly unrelated parts in order to compose a formidable whole. In doing so he is able to produce imageries that are reminiscent of visions that occur at the crossing of slumber and awakening. Soft edges imply a slowing of time. Hence in discerning his work, one might find oneself pondering whether each is a manifestation of a connection between past, present and future, or even perhaps the simultaneity of universal existence. Varied though our individual intellectual conclusions might be, one thing remains clear. Emotion lingers, a haunting likely perpetrated by one’s own inner self.
