GOODWILL CLEARANCE

Christmas is like the Titanic.

It’s beautiful, it’s powerful, everyone wants to be a part of it. No one thinks it’s going to end.

People dress in their Sunday best, they greet one another warmly as they pass by, every day of the season seems special.

And then when they realize it’s almost over, people climb all over each other to get what they think they need. Desperate messages are sent. There’s a rush toward the bottom, and its last hours are a frantic swirl of material, oaths of love, and cold reality.

Us and our stuff.

So bring the boats back and save some poor bastards.

Remember it’s the “us” that matters.

‘Cause pretty soon, come New Years, the Carpathia will show up and take us back to real life. Snooze.

Enjoy it while you can.
